Coach Debbie Nelson is recognized as one of the top private teaching instructors in the business. Coach Nelson's training and coaching experience began in 1988 in Sacramento. After spending one year at St Francis High School where the team finished as CIF Champions, she spent the next six years at Sacramento State University.
As the Assistant and Head Coach for the Sacramento State Hornets, coach Nelson's team competed in Regional and College World Series competitions. Coach Nelson also spent four years as the Head coach for the San Jose State Spartans. During Debbie's 10 years of coaching at the college level she has produced talented and top ranked teams as well as All Conference, All State, and NCAA All Americans players. Debbie also
coached an 18 and under USA Team in Europe in 2001 which won the Silver Medal that year. Debbie has been a Director for the US Sports Nike Softball Camp since 1996. In 2004, Debbie joined the National Pro Fastpitch league as an assistant coach for the California Sunbirds.
As a college player, Debbie achieved All Region, All State, and NCAA All American honors while earning her Bachelors degree at Sacramento State University. Debbie enjoys coaching and teaching athletes at all levels. Debbie loves to see the self-esteem, confidence and competitive skills her students athletes achieve through participation in sports!

As an instructor at All American Sports Academy I get the opportunity to teach young people about the sport of softball and baseball, in return I continue to learn more and more about the game which allows me to become a better coach and instructor. As instructors we are evaluated by how well our students learn. The support from Debbie and the staff at All American Sports Academy motivates me to be a better instructor.

Brandi Macias is beginning her first year as an instructional coach on the All-American Sports Academy Staff. Macias was heavily recruited out of Palmdale, California and landed at the University of Iowa. Macias completed a four-year playing career at the University of Iowa and became an NCAA Division I softball coach at Purdue University. At Purdue University she specialized in Hitting/ Catching/ Outfield/ and mental game preparation instruction. A true standout as a player, Macias led the Hawkeyes to a Big Ten Championship ring her senior year (a perfect 22-0 season) and three consecutive trips to the Women's College World Series. Macias was an All-American as a senior and a member of the NCAA first team All-Region and first team all Big Ten. In 1997, she received Iowa's Dr. Hicks Award for overcoming adversity and excellence and strength of character. She batted .385 as a senior and was a first team All-Big Ten selection. As well as a decorated catcher/center fielder, Macias is the current all-time home run leader at Iowa with 16, hitting eight as a senior. She also tied a Women's College World Series record for most hits in a game with five against conference rival Michigan in a 14-inning marathon.


Off the field, Macias excelled in the classroom. She won the Prairie Light School Golden Eye Book award as a sophomore. Annually, this award is given to a softball player for her academic excellence. She was also a two-time winner of the Bronze Medal for academic achievement. Macias graduated with a bachelor's in health promotions with an emphasis on sports management. For 10 years Macias served as a Police Officer in the bay area where she was a Field Training Officer, a Defensive Tactics Instructor, a Critical Incident Instructor, and a mentor. She has continued her love for the game as she has umpired ASA Championship level softball for the past 4 years. The Palmdale, Calif., native is excited to be a part of the team at the All American Sports Academy that teaches the correct fundamental instruction to aspiring student-athletes.

Ben has been giving private training (baseball, softball, speed and agility) since 2006. He played at West High School in Tracy, CA. From there he went on to play at Delta College 2001-2003, CSU East Bay 2003-2005, and for the Las Vegas Desert Devils 2002-2004.
Ben coached for 4 seasons as Head JV Baseball Coach at West High and assistant coach for the Tracy Cardinals Connie Mack summer league team.
Ben is a graduate with a B.S. degree in Kinesiology from CSU East Bay and holds his CPR and EMT-B certificate from Abrams College.
